This set of competing/coordinated lies that is predominant today keeping both the pseudo-lefties and pseudo-righties fighting from extremes which have been more and more pushed over the last few decades is perhaps the most dangerous, the most insidious of all lies, giving most people a completely unrealistic basic idea of what is going on in our society and country and world politically and economically, one of the greatest brainwashing successes of all time, as most of 'we the people' ('true left', socialists, populists, anyone actually believing in 'democracy') are completely unaware of our real enemy ('true right' capitalists-cum-neo-feudalists), and have been brainwashed to believe that that which would improve our lives greatly (the 'true left', socialism, democracy) is an evil system which must be blindly, fanatically hated and destroyed, and that which is creating all of our problems (the 'true right' autocratic capitalist cancer) is our friend and benefactor, the provider of all things wonderful in our lives, the greatest economic system every created!!!!!! - and so rather than gathering together under a common banner (the true left) to fight our true enemy (the true right) and create a much much better society for all of us, we are persuaded by our true enemy to ignore and even vilify our true friends and the political-economic system which would greatly improve our lives, and to fight endlessly among ourselves on the basis of endless trifles or exaggerated or even invented differences, actually in support of our true enemy by leaving them alone, allowing them to continue sitting high above us in their penthouse castles, laughing at how fucking easy we are to manipulate as we whale away at one another over false and/or inconsequential dichotomies.
And just contemplate - the great loss to all of us, to have such a large and important part of the history of our world and times denied to us, how much richer all of our lives would be to be able to understand and share in the struggles and history of these places and peoples, rather than being controlled by the Sat morning cartoon 'history' of 'we the good guys' and 'they all evil monsters!!!!!!' garbage -
A Bit More Explanation to get started on the journey of awakening
Note the use above of 'true right' and 'true left' - used very intentionally, as what we have been trained to define as 'left' and 'right' in our modern world are complete fiction, a great great deception intentionally created to enclose us and hide realisation of our true situation, our true enemy, the true battle of the ages still ongoing, and keep us fighting among ourselves over things that are secondary in importance and even trivial to what should be our real struggle if we ever want to create a truly decent 'for the people' democratic country. We need to take back our brains and our language, turn on some brain lights and push the lies and false ideas out, and get our understanding of what is really going on here straightened out, and understand that we need to stand together tall and strong, 'conservative' brother and sister arm in arm with 'liberal/democrat/labour' brother and sister with whom we might have minor disagreements but we are still parts of one big family and need to keep that in mind as we work out our differences intelligently and calmly and peacefully, and expose and destroy our true enemy and their well-institutionalized 'divide and conquer' tactics, and bury deep and forever the cancer that has taken over our society and turned family against family, parent against child, sister and brother against sister and brother, friend against friend.
So briefly - what is what and what is not what, and what we've been trained not to see that we really need to see very clearly -
6a) First, the capitalism/socialism divide: Briefly - capitalism is **not** another word for the 'free market and private property', both of which have existed throughout history long before 'capitalism' was invented. 'Capitalism' is, first and foremost, as Marx pointed out and analyzed so clearly (which is of course why we must be well and thoroughly indoctrinated to view him with hatred and fear and scorn and not even think about what he actually said), simply and primarily a political-economic system which evolved from the phoenixian ashes of feudalism based on control of 'capital' (aka the greatest 'Great Spirit' to date, which controls an economy and 'money supply' consisting basically of 'money'/credit created out of thin air and used to build or buy big 'hard' property, not accessible in any meaningful way to the working or serf class) and using that 'capital', in this sense 'wealth', for maximum exploitation of workers and anything else exploitable with no regard to the great damage done to both people and the planet. This is a continuation of feudalism, with some refinements, but basically an intentionally deeply divided class system in its raw form with wealth and its concomitant power designed to flow to and remain with the top with the working class receiving as little as possible of the wealth they produce, with again concomitant basically zero power - while 'socialism' (aka 'communism', leftism, populism, unionism, etc) is a political-economic system which rose following the growing assertion of capitalist exploitatative power as a widespread workers' protest against the new capitalist wouldbe-feudal lords, and is based on democracy and equality, and creating a decent society with the wealth they create for all workers and citizens. The power of these workers as 'we the people' in our ancestors fighting back strongly for generations following the rise of capitalism during the later 1800s and onward is why we had the generally good societies we had by the 1960s (which the capitalists of course take credit for, a somewhat outrageous lie, as explained in the ref below), and still enjoy some remnants of - and the problems of the 2000s are all due to the reactionary capitalists fighting strongly back against those advances since the 1980s. This is all completely clear and factual and undeniable for those who understand the actual history of the last 150 hundred years, as thoroughly avoided in modern 'education' but explained and discussed in some detail here - It's not 'the left' trying to take over the world and shut down free speech and all that other bad stuff - it's 'the right'!! - with some more on what 'capitalism' is actually all about here - Pretend Great Benevolent God Capitalism - laying out clearly the roots and the clear then-to-now timeline of both capitalism and their 'we are the rulers of everything!!!' ideas, and the 170 or more years of resistance to capitalism, which can be generally referred to as 'socialism' (populists, unionists, communists, (true) leftists, etc).
The division is completely clear and unchanging over the last 150 years - the 'true right' as embodied by the capitalists and their managerial class (professionals well-looked-after, thus good reason not to complain, not to see the ongoing attack on our democracies, to create a protective buffer zone between 'the people' and 'the ruling elite' - the lawyers and political puppets and upper level bureaucrats and media propagandists, and mid-management of most modern businesses, etc, changing in details through the decades but always there) and 'the true left' as embodied by 'we the people', always fighting for better lives for we normal folk, pushing always back at the attempts of the rulers to claim more and more of what 'we the people' produce for themselves. Clear and undeniable, to those who will take the time to do the reading and thinking necessary to replace the brainwashed brain with the awake brain.
Oh - and the 'free market'?? - Socialism - or true democracy rather than the top-down pretend capitalist 'democracy' - is pretty much based on a 'free market', far more so than capitalism - a 'free market' to a capitalist means a market that starts with a dog fight, and eventually one huge corporation (or a small cartel of such corporations) dominates a particular segment of the general societal marketplace through whatever unscrupulous practices they can get away with, taking losses to drive small artisans or businesses in the local community out of business, etc - 'freedom' to the capitalist is the 'freedom' to fight for dominance, which means thousands or tens of thousands of small artisans of various kinds are put out of business, and forced to become capitalist wage-slaves, which nobody likes except, of course, the capitalist overlords/exploiters. The socialist 'free market' is more of a 'free and fair' market, where there are regulations to prevent this kind of capitalist 'business warfare' dominance by any corporation or cartel. There may be a place for large businesses, to take advantage of bulk buying and etc - but such businesses will not be capitalist exploitative entities, but cooperatives staffed by local people, whose purpose is best quality at best fair price, in opposition to the capitalist philosophy of minimum quality at maximum price (at least for the peasants/workers, there is always room in a capitalist/feudal society for very high quality products to sell to those who can afford such things, the oligarchs). So - if you want a truly free market - socialism is the way to go. (and we might note, in the socialist society, there won't be much interest in the Walmarts etc, which cater to people struggling to get by and thus forced to buy cheap shit - in a socialist society, there will be no such people, all will have decent incomes from work they like, and believe in supporting local enterprises over giant corporations taking what little income they do have out of the community).
And understanding this, we can see the reason the always powerful capitalists needed to hide this true history, the true dichotomy between 'the true left' and 'the true right', and create a completely false 'history' of these primary forces.
6b) Left-Right: We need to clarify the current completely false notions of 'left' and 'right' as used in the allowed 'public discourse' (kind of a lofty term for something which has become little more than massive state propaganda pushed by the mainstream media backed by endless childish name-calling shouting matches among the dimmest people in the public eye) which again have nothing to do with reality and are part of a huge deception to keep people from understanding and engaging in what our real battle needs to be. (also in more detail in the essay referred to above for those with longer attention spans who enjoy the kind of good out-of-the-box writing rarely found on the internet even, but a shorter summary here)
To turn the light on to actual reality, let us just briefly do a small historical exploration, and recall the actual starting point of this, the right/left terms, which originated during the French Revolution days of the wealthy nobility on the 'right' of the king believing in unfettered authoritarian rule and the working people/peasants to the 'left' of the king having had enough of such rule and demanding some kind of limits on that oligarchical power, some form of meaningful democracy.
The 'true right', those in direct descendency of those on the 'right' of King Louis the someteenth, the 'nobility of hereditary aristocratic and religious power and an emerging wealthy business and banking class' who combined easily and directly into the forming capitalist class as noted above, who were used to and expected to continue with some form of rule which was not going to seriously interfere with their lives of luxury and rule, understood that as they had to give in to some extent to the 'we are many they are few' peasants (with a nasty new habit of fucking guillotines and some degree of bloodlust when pushed too far) and workers of the industrial revolution working for some kind of Democracy, 'we the people' were just not going to be voting for any type of party in any kind of numbers advocating overt authoritarian oligarchical rule about which they had just had a bloody revolution to protest - so if they tried to run an honest 'Democratic Oligarchs' or some such political party advocating for their desired type of society, they were never going to win anything other than mockery by current versions of Monty Python or some such. So, as any type of predator, which has two primary ways of getting what they want, sneakery backed by violence if the marks see through it all, usually a combination of both, they got sneaky.
Like this, in a bit more detail:
Going back over the last 150 years or more, as the 'wannabe and intendtobe forever rulers' of the *true* right pretended to 'give in' to the demands of the people in their various countries for 'democracy' (the 'true' left), they created what we can think of as controlled 'pretend-democracies'. That is, they established 'democratic' political parties for 'the people' to choose between, labelling them 'conservative/republican' (generally 'representing' the 'pseudo right' or 'left-right'), and 'liberal/democrat/labour' (generally 'representing' the 'pseudoleft' or 'left-left'), with the idea that the people were free to choose which type of government they wanted between these 'different' political philosophies and offerings, which were of course in reality just two branches of the same side, both in actuality at the upper levels controlled by the 'true right' monied interests - but sold as 'democracy' to the workers through the complicit autocracy-controlled 'limited hangout' or 'this far and no farther' media, and who could then calm the F down about not having a say in how their country was run - you now have great and wonderful Democracies!! we workers were told - and if you don't like the results, well, the majority has spoken, your government is legitimate so follow the will of the majority!! - and if you don't like it you can work harder for 'your side' and elect someone else the next time!! - greatest fraud in history, well, maybe after getting people to believe in some 'god' and the priests speak to this god and the people must listen to the priests or be damned to eternal hellfire!!!!, or follow the rules in the book he wrote, etc. Or I guess the money scam as discussed earlier was pretty big too. whew. a truly gullible gang we are. I thought we'd grown a bit in the 'modern age', but the covid cult proved to be the greatest religion of all time, and established basically overnight with a massive propaganda drive and the help of the elite-controlled media and the managing classes and the majority of ignorant superstitious barbarians revealed as defenceless against these carnie grifters now well in the majority in our 'western civilized 'advanced' 'democracies' after several decades of serious indoctrination and intentional dumbing down. But that's covered elsewhere.
But note the major slight of hand here - the 'pseudo right' does not represent the 'true right', 'those who would be rulers with omnipotent power' which was the original 'right' - that political group, while still very much alive and in control of everything important through their control of money, and behind the scenes corruption and control of the policies and leaders of all the major parties ever likely to win any election, was removed entirely from the public consciousness of the new 'democratic' political landscape (aka 'if your trusted media are not talking about it, it doesn't exist'), and the existence of a group of people who thought their wealth or hereditary nobility gave them the right to rule society, although very much alive and dominant, was simply written out of the modern narrative as created and followed daily in 'the media', although of course they were and are still there and still ruling, albeit with a few minor concessions to the 'democracies' they rule over in terms of not openly bragging about who they were/are or openly acting like omnipotent lords killing at will for imagined slights, or demanding first night rights or making the peasants fall to their knees when they drive by {they still do this stuff of course, they just don't brag about it so much and their controlled media cover for them), and letting their peasants have some modcons and a bit of money etc, all exalted by their media as 'great democracies!!!!!'. And now with the pretend-democracies, the 'pseudo right' was/is identified as mainly people who were, generally, a bit more 'well to do' than the rest of society, with generally certain 'conservative' social values, led by but not confined to the 'professional' managerial classes, and the general definition of such people was that they thought society was functioning pretty good, and wanted to 'conserve' things more or less the way they were - no hint of 'we want/support authoritarian rule!!', just a 'conservative' outlook on society, while the 'pseudo left' was then defined generally as people who were not doing so well in society, primarily but again not confined to laborers or others who were not making a lot of money and wanted reforms related to working hours or pay, working conditions, voting rights (in early days confined to wealthy male landowners), pensions, basic health care and education provided by the government, and so on - with all notion of the primary demand of the 'true left' being true democracy where the people actually had some real say in the running of their country in opposition to the 'true right' wanting nothing to do with true democracy - now the 'true left' became divided into the different sections of the entire 'official body politic', divided into opposing factions and encouraged to fight among themselves over various issues, some of course of some importance to give the whole scam the air of gravity and veritas, others not so much - but the basic idea of a true democracy, wherein 'the people' debated what their country's policies would be and *their* government, representing the true population of the country, enacted those policies completely written out of the allowed public discourse (although we have always had thinkers and writers who saw through this, but they have always been marginalized in various ways).
And of course it was and is all a sham, a great grift sold to unsophisticated brainwashed dumbed-down peons by very sophisticated grifters controlling the public discourse and education system, which has continued to the modern times, with many additions to add 'veritas' to the false narratives - with the additional powerful layer of all the millions of people who believe in the false 'democracy' acting as if it is all real, and through their belief the 'peer pressure' helping to convince others around them it is all real, nothing to see here move on folks, to the point today where many people understand that their countries are anything but democratic, but do not understand the reality behind the scam, which I am trying to explain here. For of course all political parties, as are all things of importance in a capitalist system, were and continue to be controlled by money and corruption and a press also owned by the money powers to help maintain this great fiction, and strengthen it over the decades and centuries. You can vote for whoever you want in the system, and have heated discussions over the best party!!! - but (the unspoken part of course) the major decisions about running the (not 'your', nonono never really 'your') country will continue to be made by the rich men in the places where rich men decide important things and the peasants never see, all followed by whatever 'party' you elect. Your elected representatives will be free to make the trivial decisions that the rich don't really care much about - how to divvy up the always insufficient 'budget' the rulers allow the peasants, whether to criminalize victimless crimes like smoking marijuana, overseeing the lower courts, making whatever petty rules they like about one thing or another, etc etc etc - the rulers not having much interest in the lives of their serfs as long as they keep doing the work that creates their wealth - but the serious matters of running the important things in a country and international relations - new 'trade' treaties', deciding about 'going to war', running the banking system and media, etc etc and other 'important' things that may come up that are the sole purview of the actual rulers of a country will be decided where serious matters have always been decided, in the meeting rooms of those who actually own the country, with no input whatsoever from the modern serfs, who do what they're told or else.
And so things proceeded over the decades, with the 'true right' hiding away as the wizard behind the curtain making sure 'their' country was run as they wished it run in terms of important policies, and most of the 'true left', having been blinded to their true political identity and purpose as a coherent group fighting for true democracy and deposing the oligarchs, an ages old fight that is far from over for us, being encouraged to fight among themselves for more and more things of more or less importance in their societies, but never being allowed to get into serious discussions about things of fundamental importance addressing the issues of major importance in any country - i.e. things like banding together 'all for one and one for all' as a coordinated political force fighting for true democracy and things like control of the money/credit system, which is never talked about anywhere anytime, and certainly not a matter of choice in elections, this being by far the most important issue in any country; or negotiations of 'trade treaties' which make the wealthy even wealthier and workers less secure, or international organizations or the major decision of going to war and facing the deaths of hundreds or thousands of the young people of the workers themselves (the very odd time such things were highly contentious and discussed and rejected by the electorate, the elected person immediately 'changed their mind', i.e. Wilson in 1916 promised no war if elected, and the next year the US went to war in Europe (with major war protesters such as Eugene Dibs jailed to shut them up), or Jean Chretien in 1993 promising no NAFTA if elected, and within weeks of being elected signed it, or the shock of the ruling class when Brexit received a 'yes' vote and the ongoing efforts to sabotage it, etc), international relations, should we try to create bridges with other countries or be aggressive and threatening, or any of the various 'laws' and 'regulations' that governments create to control the populace with no actual 'democratic' input at all (consultation in the 1980s in Prince Edward Island about whether the island should change its voting system to be more equitable - 25 of 27 submissions said 'yes', the committee said, thanks for your input, but we're not doing that - a million other examples of which everyone knows some). The complete lack of real democracy became completely undeniable when all around the world in March of 2020 (as if they were all following orders from a higher power?!?!?) all major governments simply stood up and declared by their actions that 'people's' constitutions or 'bills of rights' simply to be of no further force or effect, we are declaring a medical emergency and henceforward you can all consider yourselves under our direct control, and do as you are told or we're siccing the cops on you (which made it clear, if there had ever been any doubt, who the 'to serve and protect' motto actually applied to). Including no choice concerning a new experimental drug we are simply ordering you to take if you want to have any kind of life in **our** new 'we are the masters' society. And 'judicial' systems sworn to uphold the 'democratic' constitutions and 'charters of rights' (lol as they say) made it equally clear who they were really serving, as they were completely on board with the cancellation of such documents, and even some people most trusted in western countries, the medical professions, also showing who they were serving. Traitors to 'the people' all.
Making completely clear once again the true meaning of 'right' and 'left' in our society for those able to cast a lifetime of indoctrination and brainwashing aside and reengage their brains - on the 'true right' you have that group of people who believe they have the 'right' to have complete control of the people in *their* country (and their 'managerial class' servants and enablers), who will simply do as they are told or face the consequences - and on the 'true left' are all those of us who think this is not the way to run a modern country, which should involve open debate among the citizens on important issues, and then we collectively decide what we want to do about that thing - try to see, the pretend divisions of pseudo-left and pseudo-right are just artificial divisions to separate us from our true friends, artificial divisions to enable the rulers to keep us fighting among ourselves rather than recognizing and naming and challenging our true enemy, the 'true right' oligarchs, wealthy masters of society. It doesn't matter if you think you are 'conservative' or 'liberal' or NDP or 'labour' or 'republican' or 'democrat' or anything else - all of us outside of the ruling councils who support true democracy are 'the true left', and if we ever hope to have a decent and true democracy, we have to cast aside, to see through, those old false and divisive beliefs and see through the lies we have been living under for centuries - we are all 'the people to the left of the king' and our true enemy is those who see themselves as our 'rightful' rulers, aka 'the true right', who believe they have the right to rule us, to decide how we will be ruled, to control our money and economy, to send our children to their wars to be killed in the millions, to brainwash our children into believing their lies, to make us live in their insecure world of inflation and 'business cycle' and endless economic uncertainty while they continue living lives of luxury and power.
What we have been trained to think of as 'left' and 'right' is not the way we should be thinking of our political landscape, we need to understand that the only political division that really matters is the one that we have always had, the powerless vs the powerful, the ruling class vs the working class, and if we want a true 'democracy', the **only** path is to abolish that class of 'we are your superiors and we rule by natural right' and create our own true democracies, in which there is no hereditary or any other kind of ruling class telling us what we can or cannot, or must or must not, do - the 'true right' have clearly identified themselves as those thinking they should have complete control over us, and quite happy to use violence and lies to maintain that control, but on the 'true left' we have all of the people who think a modern 'democracy' should be run by 'the people'. We also have a clear divide in the media - many of those we have been trained to see as 'right' or who may be on the 'pseudo-right' according to the false modern dichotomy, i.e. those on Fox or Rebel News fighting for Democracy and Free Speech, are actually and clearly of the 'true left', while we can see the same split on the media we have been trained to think of as 'left', where we see many people on such hallowed sites as the CBC or BBC or CNN, once thought 'of the 'progressive' left', actually supporting the cancellation of people's rights and cheering the seizure of power by those who wish to be our rulers - aka the true right.
So basically, to see this from another direction, any authoritarian or anti-democratic movements are clearly 'of the right', and any movements that could be classified as 'pro-democracy' or more meaningful freedoms are clearly 'of the left'. The essential division is clear - if you want more authority for 'the state' and less freedom for 'the people' - you are 'of the right', and vice versa. So people rioting around demanding strict limits on 'free' speech - almost universally labeled 'crazy leftists' or 'cultural marxists''(one of the great idiotic terms of recent memory) etc by the media and others pushing the autocracy - are actually clearly 'of the right' and not 'the left'. Or governments telling people whatever rights they thought they had are 'suspended' due to 'a terrible disease' - widely again labelled 'leftist' by the media - are, again, clearly 'of the right'. The endless claims of the media and pundits that the WEF and related organisations trying to take over the world as being 'leftist' are stupidly nonsensical, what these people are up to is clearly an attempt to impose some form of authoritarian government world-wide, and as such is clearly **not** 'of the left' but 'of the right'.
This is a very very important issue. Orwell described a similar thing in 1984, with his newspeak and doublespeak - if you control the language, then you control the things people are able to think. It is even more important now, as we see for the past few years the (true) right has been viciously attacking our English language, which only spreads confusion and thus fear and distrust among everyone. The ludicrous nonsense of a supreme court justice nominee at a congressional hearing saying she could not define 'woman' ( Supreme Court Nominee can't define woman ). It's funny sure - but also deadly important, as the rulers are trying to make us all accept this shit. As we on 'the true left' are the main opposition to 'the true right' forces and their current very serious push to take over the world and establish what can only be called a very nasty 'big-brotherish' techno neo-feudalism of new-lords and neo-serfs, we seriously need to get our shit together and sort out who our friends are, and clearly identify and name and oppose our true enemy. People fighting for a true voice for the people in a true Democracy are 'of the true left', and those wishing to establish the neo-feudal technocracy are clearly 'of the true right'.
SHORT BUT IMPORTANT CAVEAT: It's important to understand that not every issue or conflict that arises will be a true left-right political issue. If you and your wife disagree on where to go for a vacation or what color to paint the house, it's not a 'left-right' thing, and likewise many, many disagreements that can arise between people, probably most, cannot be so categorized. We on the true left are a huge group of people - anyone who prefers Democracy over Dictatorship - with an equally huge and diverse number of ways we want to live our lives or organize our communities and countries, with a lot of strong feelings and disagreements about such things. But the common thread is that they/we want to decide things about our communities ourselves, preferably by civilized discussion, not have things imposed by an authoritarian government whose 'values' are in line with the elite groups who actually run the country, the wealthy people who run the defence, bigtech, bigpharma, media, etc industries and desire a world in servitude to and controlled by these industries, no matter how miserable a place that is for 'we the people' - 'we the people' are the *true left*, and we need to understand that and work together to establish a true democracy, within which we can discuss and work out our differences (much more amicably than is allowed to happen now, with the media doing all they can to amplify any divisions there are rather than fight among ourselves about everything)

And as part of the great propaganda effort of turning people away from this true-left, aka 'socialist' dream - the true-right has spent 100 years drowning western societies in the most egregious of lies concerning what socialism is really all about, and its appearance in opposition to capitalist exploitation and endless wars, among the endless slurs in more recent years endless ongoing accusations of 'pure evil' of anything to do with 'socialism'. And we need to have a light turned on to expose those egregious lies, and have a think about a bit of 'true history' which easily reveals where the actual 'true evil' has been coming from - and it ain't 'we the people' socialists on the true left.
