Democracy Study Guide v1

Never a day goes by these days when we do not hear multiple times from the capitalist press directly or indirectly how 'communism'-aka-'socialism'-'collectivism!!!!!!!!!!!' - 'leftism!!' - 'MARXISM' etc is pure evil!!, and responsible for pretty much all of our current problems and everything bad in modern history and we have to constantly be on guard against these fucking monsters as they try to take over the world and reshape it in their evil collectivist leftist socialist marxist image, and they must always be seen as our greatest enemy!!!!

This completely wrong belief - which is actually pretty pure projection rather than anything to do with reality - is deeply ingrained in the modern west, and almost anyone will just vomit related shit out anytime they want to compare something to something evil - i.e. just a few examples I noted recently, the list would go on and on and on as new examples arise regularly - this is the kind of stupid, mindless anti-Russian/communism/socialism garbage they pump out every day, over and over, to maintain the lie, and endlessly repeated by people who, in this respect at least, are totally indoctrinated -

• Will Cain on a Fox show - disappointing, Will Cain is fairly intelligent, seems a very decent person, but the American brainwashing system is so, so ubiquitous and effective
• an article from Anerican Greatness - 'the leftists are taking over the world' etc
• interesting 'no-thought' comment by Neil Oliver, normally very much a good guy here"..something bad was done by communists - always the communists' ...
• American Thinker - '..the current crisis, a life and death struggle against a totalitarian enemy I call woke communism... that control all the cultural and economic powers in America… The Left have trashed America's Founding and her history to the point where some believe it virtuous to hate America. Rather than advocating forgiveness for sins, the Left are advocating hair shirts, self-flagellation, and perpetual guilt. It is un-American and certainly un-Christian...' - blind, stupid hatred of a straw dog labelled 'COMMIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

- and on and on and on and on and on, every day, this brainwashing is very very deep, well institutionalized in the US 'education' system over the last 100 years. You have to think there is some level of intentional reinforcement as well, as 'the commies' aren't actually ever up to much bad that the ordinary person would notice, and the 'pure evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' label could easily be forgotten if not regularly reinforced. Like a lot of other 'beliefs' most western people have (i.e. the other side of that coin, wonderful capitalism!!!! - which is clearly not so wonderful for most of us, as described earlier)

This propaganda is spread by both 'rightist' and 'leftist' mainstream media outlets and, very sadly, most people seem to believe it all, like they believe most other lies and garbage coming from these sources. And it's all simply somewhere between outright lies and wild context-free exaggeration, one of the perversest of perverse lies, maybe the greatest and most terrible example ever of 'accuse the other guy/your enemy of what you are doing!!', and it is essential that this perhaps greatest of the great lies must be exposed and understood if we are ever to create a true democracy, which can only happen if it is built on 'best efforts to understand historical truth' and 'we need to create a world of friends rather than a world of enemies' rather than following easily disproven blatant self-serving historical and current lies (the lies through 2022 about Russia and their mission in Ukraine coming from the western media have been wildly ridiculous, completely untethered to reality, a western media gone totally off the rails during the covid time and here running further afield from reality). In reality, of course, when you read the complete expose of what is really going on in terms of 'left' and 'right' and 'capitalist-vs-socialism' in the previous section, it's clearly the 'true right' capitalists who are your/our/democracy's/the world's deadly enemy, wanting to return to an openly undemocratic authoritarian society of nobility and peasants, and the (true) socialists/leftists/etc who want to live in peaceful and prosperous Democracies for all.

With that kind of background, it's not rocket science to sort out why this endless barrage of lies for the last 100 years, all through the media, the television shows, the films, the popular fiction, the 'news' media, the education-cum-deep indoctrination system, concerning socialism / communism / etc has been coming from the capitalist press, as if we normal people were ever offered a choice between the two systems, explained by honest explainers about what they are both all about, the capitalists would be lucky to be allowed to crawl back under their rocks rather than tossed in max security lockups for the rest of their criminal lives. With a reminder, for those still shackled by a lifetime of anti-commie brainwashing and repelled from this truth, that no, your very good western societies were/are NOT the gift of your wonderful capitalist masters, your/our decent societies are the gift of countless numbers of your ancestors fighting and sacrificing to push the capitalists back from their preferred dark satanic mills and poverty-stricken mining towns, the workers and unionists and populists and, of course, socialists and communists, standing tall and brave in defiance of the capitalists and their drive for maximum profit from unlimited exploitation of everything, as explained earlier.

And then of course as a central part of the brainwashing - anyone is going to wonder about exactly 'why' they/we should hate these evil commies/socialists/etc so blindly and eternally - and so the propagandists, who have no allegiance to 'truth' in any way, just accuse them of the most evil things they can imagine, or that you can imagine, and/or present things wildly out of context to make something look very different than it actually happened. What exactly 'pure evil!!!!' refers to in these endless screeds and rants is rarely made explicit, it depends on what the commenter is trying to demonise, but one can gather from the general presentation over the years that the 'pure evil!!!' label is related at least in large part to accusations of massive, planned, coldly intentional taking of human lives, as both the USSR/Russia and China are endlessly accused of doing in the pursuit and/or exercise of raw power throughout their modern histories (since the Russian Revolution in 1917 and Mao's revolution in 1949).

It's all a very grand exemplar of Hitler's idea of 'the big lie', which he ascribed to the Jews in their blaming of the German loss in WWI to a certain German general - the idea being that if you tell a lie huge enough, most people cannot imagine anyone would lie so horrendously about something of such terribleness and be inclined to believe it. And it's been a major tool of these people throughout their regime, as outlined in these appendices, including these insane lies about the Communists.

For example, biggies in both the USSR/Russia and China refer to Mao and Stalin callously killing off millions, or tens of millions, of their own people!!!! the fucking monsters!!!!!!! just for the hell of it, or just because they didn't like them!! etc. But such wild exaggerations neglect to mention a few relevant facts, i.e. both of these accusations seem to refer to years of drought in the USSR in the early 1930s and China in the early-mid-1950s during which millions of people did indeed die, but primarily due to the droughts and not 'murder most foul' - with the added problems in both countries of being in the early stages of the establishment of their communist countries, with both countries still very poor at the times without the modern infrastructure to deal with such things (and of course the western capitalist already-commie-hating countries refusing to offer aid to 'fucking commies', indeed always doing all they could to try to make the revolutions fail, internal subversion, etc), as they tried to move from their former capitalist/feudalist 'small ruling class massive peasant class living in medieval conditions' social structures into the modern world. But such droughts or any other contextual information is never talked about, just accusations of Stalin and Mao coldly, intentionally murdering (usually wildly exaggerated numbers of) their people, like monsters, for never-well-specified political ends or just out of sheer brutality. But anyone thinking clearly with a more contextual view of history than the US self-serving lies and propaganda provide their people can clearly understand there is a great deal more to such stories, and it should be the desire of every honest democratic citizen to want to understand clearly what went on in these countries in history as we try to build understanding and friendship, not comic-book level fantasies of our very self-serving rulers who want us to think those other countries are evil and our existential enemies and the Mighty US Uncle Sam is the sole purveyor of Goodness and Democracy in our world. the lies, the lies, the lies. It is not the place here to try to provide accurate histories of China or the USSR/modern Russia, that would be a very good undertaking for the Democracy Discussions, however, as these countries should surely be our friends not our enemies, and an accurate view of their histories, and the struggles they faced, is very necessary for such understanding. (Although here is a very good recent 'debunking' of the outrageous lies against Lenin and the early Soviet Union - Debunking Jordan Peterson's "Truth About Communism" Video - I used to think Peterson was a strong voice for freedom when he was attacking the 'woke' idiocy in Canada, but he's pretty off the rails here, and also way too smart to be so stupid, so his completely irrational rantings against communism are somewhat suspect).

But as questionable as the accusations of 'commie monsters' must be, what is not deniable to anyone with the desire to search out and understand 'true' history is the clear historical record of the endless atrocities throughout their history of the United States themselves (with the support of all English speaking countries of course for the last 100 years in most of these things), atrocities which, if 'evil' is defined by such things as massive unprovoked murders of countless numbers of other people and otherwise creating conditions in which life is miserable all around the world in the pursuit of their own power, make the US far and away the most savage, evil country in world history, and of zero credibility when accusing anyone else of things they themselves are the unchallenged, very well documented, champions.

(And let me caveat at this point - it's not that all Americans are evil bastards, of course there have been countless numbers of 'good' US citizens, countless numbers of good and honest and strong and honorable people who made good lives and did wonderful things during the history of the USA, far more good people than the evil bastards running the place, and I of course do not include such people in these comments - but from early on in its history the US became influenced and then controlled by bad and then evil people, predators who used the growing power of the US government for their own selfish ends, using their power to increase their power, lying as needed to the people of that country about what they were doing and why. Again another area that needs much exploration, but just to make that point here - as well as their great power militarily, the people ruling the US have perfected the art of massive indoctrination of their population, so even people who seem otherwise very intelligent and aware of things in their country and world have the deep-seated belief that in any final analysis, the US is the greatest, most democratic and free and just plain 'good' country that ever existed, and the fucking commies are the complete opposite, just monsters whose only purpose is to destroy the wonderful US, etc etc etc. Even most of the people in the military are not bad or evil, just normal servicemen and women deeply brainwashed in the 'US good Commies/etc evil!!!' American ideology, who honorably join the military to fight for their country. Many such people become disillusioned quickly enough, as shown in various modern films such as Fourth of July or Apocalypse Now or Deer Hunter and many others, but they had honorable and courageous intentions at the beginning. Or the very enlightening memoir of one Smedley Butler, War is a Racket. But given that caveat, the monstrous crimes of the US government over their history are clear and undeniable, and if we want an exemplar of 'pure evil', you need look no further.)

Once you start searching out some actual history of all of the 'main communist' countries of the USSR/Russia and China (but also their 'lesser evils' such as Cuba or Venezuela maligned as necessary) - we see that those countries accused of being 'evil' have remained almost entirely within their borders as they tried to establish their communist/socialist governments, with but occasional justifiable small interventions into neighbouring countries, while it's been the true-right capitalism-central US itself, following in the footsteps of the former world capitalist/true right leader the UK, which has truly been the Great Satan for at least the last hundred years, bombing and invading emerging wannabe-'socialist' democracies all over the world, Central and South America, Africa, SE Asia, the mid-east - and with the malevolent roots of the current 'deep state' in the US which is trying to openly take over the world now going back to their very intentional attempted genocide of the American Indians and en passant truly cold and callous, and intentional, murder of millions of them (read Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee), women and children and everyone, and the outrageous barbarism of their slavery for hundreds of years, continuing even after Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, with rampant brutal racism throughout the southern US right up to the 1960s, and still endemic in many US places, with hanging parties and whippings a regular Saturday night 'fun' activity of drunked up young men, and brutality against everyone and rape of women and children common, etc etc, to which 'the government' basically turned a blind eye in most cases. Have a debate sometime with some honest, knowledgable person comparing Stalin's or Mao's alleged atrocities over a few years against their people and the USA's documented and undeniable treatment over 200 years of Native Americans and Negros and their endless bombings and invasions all over the world, central and south America, Africa, SE Asia, the mid-east, etc etc etc etc.- just a few recent commentaries on this -

In reality, the US has been without any question the leading atrocity-committer in the world for hundreds of years, starting well before the actual capitalists took over the rule of that evil country - the actual primary 'state sponsor of terror', another label they like to apply to their 'enemies', or those they want to destroy, for the last century, as they continue to be today. You can read Smedley Butler's War is a Racket for some details on the American atrocities in Central America in the early part of the 20th century, destroying emerging democracies in order to allow the US corporate looting to continue, and Killing Hope by William Blum, or various of his other books, for details of the dozens of countries the US invaded or bombed to prevent anti-American, or pro-(real) democracy movements from taking root throughout Central and South America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the mideast, or browse around the website Third World Traveller or many other websites talking about past and current US activities - it's simply beyond dispute for anyone examining their world with an engaged and informed and open mind and an understanding of 'real' history - none of these things are really hidden, it's just that the rulers have such control over the masses through the 'education' system (aka the dumbing down system, read John Taylor Gatto and others) and corporate propaganda secretariat-to-power 'mainstream' media (many many books, Noam Chomsky classic Manufacturing Consent) that few people pay attention to such true histories, they're all brainwashed to follow what they're told to follow on the television, in the past, or their social media for the last few years.

It goes on and on and on -

Then think about WWII, about which there has been a great deal of 'revisionist history' by the US propagandists, but one thing they don't even try to hide, actually brag about - their years of terror bombing of civilians in Germany and Japan. Japan bombed Pearl Harbour, which we are told started the war (perhaps true, but again lacking context - why did Japan want to do that???? The US had cut off Japanese oil supplies from the South China Sea, so Japan had been seriously provoked - so many things children of the US hegemony are not taught) - but even then, they only bombed the military base, not terror-bombing the adjoining civilian city - but what did the US eventually do?? Fire bombed Tokyo and other cities, killing hundreds of thousands of civilians, and then nuked the two Japanese cities even as Japan was trying to surrender, for no other reason than to demonstrate to the USSR and Stalin that they had this terrible weapon, and had no compunctions at all against using it against civilians. No other country has ever deployed a nuclear weapon against civilians. And in Germany, the Brits, with of course great American help, had an intentional policy of firebombing German cities, to create civilian terror, unknown numbers of murdered civilians (great chaos of course and you can't count ashes) - one of their 'clever' strategies was to drop normal bombs on a city, wait a few hours until all the rescue people were out, and then drop incendiaries on the same city, burning thousands and thousands of innocent civilians - mainly women and children and old people - alive who were just trying to help their injured relatives and acquaintances - if that isn't pure evil and monstrous, I really don't know what is (David Irving's book the Destruction of Dresden is a good place to start)(and they bragged about it, check some histories of Bomber Harris - a truly evil son of a bitch, but a hero to the western hegemonists for organizing this massive terror-bombing murder of god only knows how many hundreds of thousands or millions of women and children - talk about 'genocide' or 'holocaust'). Like the massacres of women and children in the 'Indian wars' of the previous century, or the napalming of innocent women and children in Vietnam a few years later. (Yes, the Germans dropped some bombs on some British cities, and of course the infamous 'V2' rockets were sent into London - both in response to the British bombing of Germany, and both resulting in orders of magnitude fewer deaths than the years long British terror bombing campaign against Germany)

And then after WWII, barely a pause before they were bragging about totally flattening North Korea with bombs and bombs and more bombs (MacArther wanted to nuke N Korea too, some saner heads prevailed this time), and then into Vietnam with terrorizing napalm and bombs bombs bombs bombs bombs - more millions killed and horribly mutilated. And Cambodia and Laos in the later parts of that invasion, enabling Pol Pot and his killing fields. And then again in the 1950s into the middle east, overthrowing the democratic president of Iran and installing the Shah and his 25 years of terror, the brutal assassination of Patrice Lumumba in the Congo in 1961, one of Africa's brightest and most hopeful leaders ever (JFK was outraged when he learned about this and many other things the CIA was getting up to, and promised to 'tear it into a 1000 pieces', but the CIA showed who wielded the real power in the USA even then), simply NOT to be tolerated by the CIA, through Central and South America in the 50s and 60s and 70s and 80s, and later into the 90s with the 60 day bombing campaign in Yugoslavia, then massive civilian massacres, many still ongoing, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq again, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Nigeria, various other countries in Africa - the history is undeniable and just horrible beyond words, the US has been and continues to be the greatest international terrorist in world history, all in the name of maintaining and expanding its capitalist hegemony and preventing any strong (true left) democratic challenges to its (true right) capitalist rule.

Just in passing, let us remember here - the Nuremburg show trials declared that aggressive war is the greatest crime against humanity - but we can see now that, like any level of international 'justice' in the age of the US Capitalist Hegemon, evidently that 'rule' was meant for anyone challenging the US rule, as the US has been doing nothing but aggressive wars throughout its history, long before WWII and then after the Nuremberg 'principles' right up until today, dozens and dozens of aggressive wars on every continent except Australia!!!!! {and they have engaged in political warfare in allies such as Australia and Canada, deposing US-unfriendly Prime Minsters to put in place US-friendly puppets) - yet we are to believe they are the great Defenders of Democracy!!!!!!!!!!!! against the fucking commies, the 'pure evil' of China and the USSR, while these countries have in all their histories only rarely engaged in 'aggressive war', and then primarily with the understandable reason of taking proactive action to prevent a neighboring country from becoming a dangerous puppet of the US hegemon, as with the Ukraine in 2022.

So when talk of 'evil regimes' or 'pure evil!!!' is undertaken, we need to be clear that the only country in the world today of any significance which that label would rightfully apply to is - the United States - 'true right' capitalist central - which is of course the main force behind the 'evil commies!!!!!' lies they seem to have most people believing - and if we are ever to create decent democracies, we have to understand with clear eyes and brain and sense of history both our past and current realities, and deal with such facts honestly and openly. The only 'crime' of countries like Russia and China, and Cuba and Venezuela, and Libya and Syria, etc etc etc etc, is that they simply refuse(d) to become US client states, doing as the US commands, submitting their economies to the rule of the western banking cartel, turning their people into capitalist wage-slaves and their countries' resources over to US capitalist corporations, making the corporations richer but their own people poorer. (I think probably another reason sitting as a kind of elephant in the room is that the current capitalist rulers of the world are fearful that if we ever manage true democracies with a majority of the people understanding just what massive crimes these people have been committing the last 10, 50, 100 etc years - a lot of them will be spending their lives not in wonderful mansions and flying around the world on their private jets, but in max security prisons where the worst human monsters are kept. But that's a story for another time.)

If we ever want a real Democracy - we have to get these masses who believe the US and other English countries are the true defenders of democracy fighting evil communism, or some significant number of them, away from that brainwashing and engaging with reality - it is simply true that, although most Americans etc are good people, they are also very brainwashed people, brainwashed from birth to believe the complete reverse of the truth - which is the dichotomy that although they are good people overall, the American government has, for the last 100 years and more, been truly the 'Great Satan' in the world, as many 3rd world countries have called it for decades.
