The Debt Conspiracy Theory Fact - do you believe people who email you from Africa wanting to give you 10 million bucks? No? Well WHY DO YOU BELIEVE THE NATIONAL DEBT IS LEGITIMATE?!?!? (Sorry - I get excited about this...)
911 - as important as the debt scam - ask yourself why you are so afraid to admit the truth here, even when it's been kicking you in the face almost since it happened? When the world you live in is operating under a lie this big and obvious and monstrous, you have no security whatsoever.

040606 - Democracy hahaha
the oddest thing - Monday was world no-smoking day, which to me is sort of like world "one more nail in the coffin they're burying freedom in" day (yea yea I know cigs are called "coffin nails" - and Condi Rice said George Bush was going to go down as one of history's great leaders - don't believe everything people say hahahahaha yea including moi hahahaha - who but a lawyer would try to make you believe that acting as your own lawyer is a bad move, or who but a politician benefits from the idiotic idea that “you can’t fight city hall”???) - and for completely unrelated reasons - I didn't smoke on Monday - didn't even realise it was world no-smoking day until it was almost over and I saw something on the news. weird. I go quite a lot of days without smoking, it's not a big deal (used to drive my more addicted friends, who lit up as soon as getting out of bed most days, and couldn’t dream of going a day without, buggy), I just like a couple with my daily pint or two usually (also skipped yesterday) and that's about it - but these nazis running around trying to remake the world in their own sterile dream-Dystopia irritate the shit out of me - and scare me - I mean, you let em get away with this shit and what next? They're never gonna be happy until they have us all living in sunday school and singing jesus loves me every morning smile children! - it's a fairy tale world, and they're fairy tale people living in Chatelaine mag or some other adolescent-fantasyland-for-modern-"adults" - they ought to study biology or something and understand that strength in the natural world lies in diversity, and that means you canNOT control everything, and it's not healthy to expect EVERYONE to live according to YOUR values, whatever they are. And no that doesn't mean I support murder or George Bush!!! - it means you have to start thinking clearly about what things you have a right to take up arms and change (other people's smoking habits don't make it!!!! - but psychotics running around killing others does), and what things you ought to just keep your controlling little minds and fingers out of (i.e. whether or not I wear a seatbelt or Bob's RIGHT to run either a smoking or no-smoking bar) - it's hard sometimes, and debatable most of the time, but the ONLY time you have any kind of right to try to tell other people what to do is when you are protecting something of your own, NOT when somebody else is doing something that does NOT affect you but you don't approve of. I don't try to force you to smoke, right, or NOT wear seatbelts - how outraged would you be at that?!?!?!?! No, I don't pay any attention to that, I have better ways to spend my time - that's entirely up to you. We have a right to stop somebody wandering around our community killing people here and there - we do NOT have any right to assume everyone with a gun is going to be such a killer and take his guns away.
Well, I see in some of the "outrageous" pronouncements I made recently I am not alone!!! Linda agrees with me that Jack's comments on Martin having blood on his hands were NOT out of line - Will U.S.-style tax cuts work here? No. - this is a good one - Linda's been away awhile, writing a new book or something, but she's back in fine form here - "...This illustrates how successful the right has been in severing the connection in the public's mind between the taxes we pay and the public services we receive. It could be called the Great Disconnect....".
And David Orchard has a piece about how re-nationalising Air Canada would be the sensible thing to do - this is the sort of stuff you ain't NEVER gonna see in the mainstream press, for obvious reasons - but it makes a lot more sense than what has been happening the last bunch of years. Air Canada: Waiting at the brink.
The thing is, I guess - do average Canadians pay lots of income taxes so the government can make life even easier for the rich with all that money (income tax income for the feds is something like $150 billion these days) - or are we paying all that money so OUR government can do stuff for US - like a DECENT national health care system (good piece in the Globe about the health care situation and why it does indeed need more money right now, not because it’s a big black money hole but because it’s been starved for cash for the last 20 years and needs to catch up - Medicare's deadly numbers game), and an airline that is reliable and flies to all parts of the country, and much else we want (AND NOT LIKE GREEDY KIDS WHICH THE NEOCONS YAP ABOUT - STUFF WE HAVE PAID FOR ALREADY WITH THE TAX MONEY THE NEOCONS ARE STEALING!!!) - which all that money would support easily if we - that is to say hahahaha THEY - weren't giving so much of it away to banks and other "incentives" for Big Business and Bay St? Ask THAT question before you vote. Along with, of course, questions like - "Well - if it's OUR government working for US - then why is 20+% of OUR tax money turned over to the banks and other wealthy investors in "service charges" on money the government borrowed, when it could have issued that money debt free - they sure could do a lot of good stuff for US with all that money, rather than handing it over to the banks. If it's OUR government, why is it letting the banks print the money and then borrowing that money from them? Who actually is RUNNING this country - We the People through OUR representatives - or They the Banks through - well - WHOSE "representatives"????" - you know, questions like that. Questions you ain't NEVER gonna hear "reporters" in the Globe or on tv asking HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - they like their jobs, and ol Izzy sure ain't gonna put up with shit like that!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH
An EXCELLENT article not by this time but about Robin Mathews, one of the GREAT Canadians (the greater they are the less attention they get in the mainstream corporate media - he gets none, that I've ever seen - but his columns on Vive are right on the money) - Noam Chomsky Meets Robin Mathews: American Anarchism and Canadian Nationalism, by a guy who has done some other good stories about little known Canadians doing GOOD stuff, one Ron Dart.
Jailing man as security risk for 4 years called cruel yeah right. - "...The evidence has been kept secret, even from his lawyers, and any proof of his terrorism links has not been tested in a Canadian court..." - anyone wanna explain again what a GREAT democracy Canada is? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA - or was my first typo ordained from a higher place - demonocracy? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA - man I love it when my subconscious - which is SURELY in touch with all sorts of neat stuff in the universe and I wish to fuck it would talk with me more - gets interested in this shit and starts playing its little games HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Our “democracy” is pretty superficial - as long as you do as you are told and don’t talk about stuff they tell you not to talk about, you can run around and pretend you’re free - but step out of line, and Bang Bang Maxwell’s Silver Hammer is gonna come callin HAHAHAHAHAHAHA (certain people have often pointed this out to me - but dear RM - if you just do as they tell you - i.e. wear your seatbelt and don’t drink and drive and stuff, they’ll leave you alone!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA. You bet Big Sis.
- I asked the question the last time - why, if neocons love America so much, why they don't all just move there and leave us poor socialists and our health care system alone??? - and overnight while mulling over stuff (which my subconscious NEVER stops doing) some insights came to me - it has to do with the "con" in "neocon", which is generally assumed to stand for "conservative" - but of course, assuming stuff is always dangerous - it actually stands, of course, for con-MAN (or MEN I suppose) - and that's why they're hanging around still - Canadians, good, honest trusting sorts that most are, are pretty easy marks for experienced American (neo-)con-men - and we are, or at least used to be, a fabulously wealthy country - and there's still some pickings left, so they're hanging around - the 2nd-raters, of course, who can’t make it in competition with the real conmen down south, but have an advantage with their complete lack of morals and ethics when matched against we poor mostly-honest slobs up here, who have been reared and trained to be polite and not protest about anything until it’s WAAAAAYYYYYY too late. That berg is real close now - but nobody is going to do diddly-squat until after we hit and are on the way down. THEN the neocons will be heading south, ready to join their Big Brothers as True Barbarians, having paid their dues and done some real bad shit, manning the lifeboats while the women and children (that’d be We the People of Canada) are going down with the ship.
That ain't rocket science either - it's maybe a bit cynical, but nobody ever proved that cynical people weren't on to something. Christ, not only are many, many Canadians not worried about the old berg, they’ve been so bedazzled by the propaganda they’re even manning the oars, so to speak, and getting ready to vote for the New Canadian Republican Party, to speed up the Day of Destruction. “YES WE THINK OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IS REALLY IMPORTANT AND THAT’S WHY WE’RE VOTING FOR THE GUY WHO HAS PROMISED TO DESTROY IT!!!!!”
Ontario goes to polls on Oct. 4, 2007 - smoke and mirrors - We the People ought to determine when we want a new election! - this is dark ages BS, like most of what they get up to - polling techniques are very sophisticated today and CAN BE reliable if conducted by honest people (it's possible - ya just gotta watch em and their methods - like everything today, with corporate "ethics" dominating everything) - so why not a law that says if polls indicate a majority of the people are not happy with what the gov is doing for 3 months or 6 months they get booted! - it could be a sliding scale - if 90% dislike things a lot, they go NOW - if 60% "somewhat dislike things" HAHAHAHAHAHAAA they get a few months to work it out - whatever. But fixed elections means they get another 3 years or whatever to continue doing real bad shit and there's nothing we can do about it??? Who does THAT benefit (at the scene of ANY crime, the first question the detective asks - Cui bono - (something like that - Latin wasn't my strongest subject in high school, and THAT was a LOOOOONNGGGGG time ago HAHAHAHAHAAA) - Who Benefits?!?!?!?! (sort of like the takedown of the World Trade Center - it's hard to figure how much ol bin Laden there benefited from THAT little escapade, or Saddam, or Muslims in general - but it's pretty obvious how ol George and Dick and the neocon warmongers and "WE WANNA RULE THE WORLD" gang benefited - funny all the REAL detectives don't get to ask the first most important question about THIS crime (crime indeed it was - a biggie to be sure - but NOT an act of war, any way you cut it - the FIRST public lie about this from the Bushies, not the last). So we have the same gov for 5 - 10 or more years you ask in shock?!?!?! Well - if 70-80% of the people think they're doing a great job, why go to all the bother and expense of changing it?!?!?! - as some MPs get tired of it all and want to drop out (man can't take them free trips anymore HAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!) - well what's the prob? we've always had local elections! - anyway, the WHOLE thing needs a lot of fixing - but this idea of "fixed elections" is NOT part of it - just more smoke and mirrors to make it look like they're doing something useful for all that money they're getting for doing so little useful work..... normally speaking, if the neoCONS are selling something, you can be pretty sure it is, under all their sales talk (they are what used to be known as “confidence men” after all), good for them, not so good for We the People. And that, as Lilly used to say, is the Truth.
Why young people don't vote - Well, for starters, they really don't know anything By Craig McBride - about the single most perceptive article I've EVER seen on this - and the second - Adults to blame for youth apathy - We've handed them a cynical world by ANTONIA ZERBISIAS. Now - do you suppose we can expect some changes in our ed system to straighten this shit out?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - the very LAST thing our current crop of political puppets - or, more correctly, the Bay St Puppet Masters - want is a bunch of intelligent, aware electors running around out there, who will call them on their lies and boot the bastards out and start demanding some REAL democracy in this country - the very last, last last last LAST thing HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA (short of RM getting his paws on a national newspaper anyway, which ain't a big danger unless they go down in price a LOT HAHAHAHAHAHAAA) - meaning of course that any REAL discussion about how the country works, and their duties as responsible citizens, and the benefits of growing up into responsible adults rather than remaining greedy, stupid children for most of their lives are NEVER NEVER NEVER going to be taught in an education system dominated by the elite, "educating" young people to fit into the system that allows the elite to dominate while still pretending the country is some kind of "democracy".
Speaking of “democracy” (seems to be on the menu this time around) - A story last week I missed (thanks Ron) - E-mailed McGuinty, man charged - "...A "disturbing, harshly worded" e-mail sent to Premier Dalton McGuinty has resulted in 11 charges against a man from Cambridge, Ont.,... No charges have been laid regarding the e-mail as it did not contain any death threats or threats to cause bodily harm..." - man, talk about a police state - chasing a guy down for stuff he says, that they even admit is in no way a threat - and they carefully don't say *exactly* what words were so bad - fuck, these Big Sis people can get all upset at some pretty small stuff ("Oh, it was so 'hurtful' when he did that little sneer thing with his mouth, Jessie!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA) - it would be nice to know, that is, did they guy say Dalton was an alien kitten eater, or a real fucking asshole, or a pretty poor lad with a budget, or exactly WHAT got them all upset? How can WE judge the amount of justifiable concern without knowing this? - I mean to say, their word on ANYTHING is NOT sufficient - these are the same guys who have arrested all kinds of people screaming TERRORIST TERRORIST in all the headlines - and then had to let them all go in a few weeks (to MUCH less press coverage HAHAHAHAHAAA) when they could substantiate NONE of the charges, even in the we'll-be-as-cooperative-as-we-can-be-to-all-CSIS-wannabe-fascists Canadian "courts". For instance. So when they say "bad stuff" - well, I want a BIT More detail (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - and I'm sure they're rushing to get it to me RIGHT NOW too HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA). These guys must have just got back from some special "terrorist" training in Ashcroft's Gestapo HQ down south or something and were looking for some practice. Now, evidently, not only Americans, but Canadians, had better watch what they say. Big Brother is indeed watching. And Big Brother has a Big Stick to beat on Little People who don't like what Big Brother does or says. HEIL
DALTON sorry hahahahahaha HITLER!!!! As Orwell said of Big Brother - "Winston - we don't want you simply accepting Big Brother's laws - you have to LOVE BB TOO! REALLY!!!!!"
And this - as with the McGuinty story - Liberal platform gives daycare $5-billion, there was another one about Martin promising to re-introduce the bill to legalise pot (just feeling out the waters, I’m sure - as in, Just how fucking gullible ARE these people hahahahaha?!?!?!?!) - I mean to me, it's just - Hey Paul - you've been in fucking power for 10 years - why didn't you DO something like this during those ten years, and during the campaign for re-election you could point back at it, and say, look everyone what we've DONE! - I mean to say, all I remember is a hundred BILLION dollar tax break for the wealthy, gutting social programs, your proud comment that your government was now paying, as a percent of GDP, less of the tax dollars Canadians gave you back in social programs FOR them since the 1950s, and a screwed up and nonsensical to begin with "gun registry", a promise to give us all biometric ID cards (why aren't you bragging about THAT one during the election here?!?!?!), and stuff like that. (I still don’t completely get all the outrage about the so-called “adscam” - that is to say, anyone who didn’t KNOW this shit has been going on bigtime since Mulroney ought to get their heads away from the fucking tvs for awhile...)
Fuck, why don't we have ANY people in the media who have either the brains or the balls to ask questions like that?!?!?!?!
It is, indeed, to puke. And Martin, bad as he is, would undoubtedly be preferable to Harper HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA what a fucking world - I think there are still a few influential oldtimers (Trudeau-days) who feel some small sense of noblesse oblige or something, some small sense of obligation to We the People - not enough to actually empower We the People, but a sense that they ought to treat us with a bit of decency at times - that type of thing is being completely weeded out of the Neocon World, as we see in the US now, and with the Harris-Klein-Campbell-Harper types, as promoted by the Frasers and Pispots of the country - we’re heading right back as far as we can, to a point some day not that far away when the Great Charter of Runymede itself will undoubtedly be declared an historical aberation of some sort, and all restrictions on the wealthy elite who run the place removed entirely. Yea I know you think I exaggerate - time will tell, as Bobby said, just who has fell ......
Remember - this guy didn't HAVE to call an election until fall 2-0-0- FIVE - NEXT year - he had, when he took over, an easy 20+ months in which he could have done some GOOD STUFF!!! - like the day care plan, his "world peace initiative" whatever he calls it, let the pot law, poor as it was, pass - so now when he talks about this stuff - well, it sounds good but CAN WE TRUST YOU PAUL?!?!?! - that is, why not put these ideas in place and let them operate for a year so people could see what he was going to do - I mean, I think I am not alone when I say I am very, very very leery of promises coming out of the mouth of most any politician these days. I believe Layton somewhat more, but still got my feet on the ground, but it's irrelevant anyways, Canadians are obviously willing to shoot themselves (and the rest of us with a bit more common sense) in the head (i.e elect Harper - who SHOULD be the TRULY scary figure in this election, in terms of what Canadians SAY they value) before electing "them goldarned socialists" - in which we see years of incessant propaganda and demonisation of them from the mainstream media paying off, as it was meant to. The House Edge ALWAYS wins.
HAHAHAHAHA - that's sort of an interesting thing altogether, looking back a bit - when was the last time we could look back at a gov that did something GOOD for us - I'm thinking big stuff like the national health care system, the UI system maybe (not perfect, but it was good), maybe the Constitution and Charter of Rights (as above, not perfect, but going in the right (i.e. left hahahaha) direction - stuff like that???? - yea, that's right, the Lib-NDP minority govs of the late 60s early 70s. What do we recall of things since the early Trudeau???? (which, lest you have forgotten, was the time of the beginning of the Corporate Reactionary Revolution that I still haven’t got around to writing about - which you sure as FUCK are NOT going to read about in the mainstream CORPORATE media HAHAHAHAHAHA) - Mainly, it seems, "Free Trade"-NAFTA etc, National Debt Scam, and LOWER TAXES LOWER TAXES LOWER TAXES FOR THE RICH!!!, oh-oh can’t afford them darn social programs anymore - really, what else springs to mind???? - has ANYTHING good been done for “We the People” since 1975???? - stuff the corps and wealthy salivate over and complain we don't have enough of, and things that have been fucking the rest of us - that would be most of what’s been happening. One person working in the family could provide a decent living, with all the modcons etc of the times, in those earlier days, and the gov was doing its best to do good stuff for us, and carrying only a small sort of manageable debt - and now, after 30 years or so of neocon reactionary revolution, it takes two people in most families to maintain a similar standard of living, and the gov is up to its eyeballs in debt (it's all horseshit of course, but it's the current mythology) - so what the fuck happened to progress in this most modern of all times???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Speaking of Harper - look at one of the pictures of his smiling little face that hit the papers every day these days, and then have a boo here - Harper and his soulless little eyes reminded me of something, and it finally came to me - this kid. Really wholesome looking and all that, right? If you haven't seen him before, it's from a pretty old movie, Cabaret - one of the greats - get to the damn store and get it if you want some good entertainment for a couple of hours this weekend (oh right you get the CBC and Calgary will be trying for The Cup!!! (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA bet the bar people in Toronto are going crazy at all the people who WON'T be in their bars, but will be HOME with their beers and BUTTS watching the game on tv HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA - THANKS BIG SIS - WATCH THE FUCKING BANKRUPTCY RATE FOR DRINKING ESTABLISHMENTS THIS YEAR HAHAHAHAHAHAHA))!!!! fuck getting carried away and RIGHT off topic, no not really, one nazi is like another, underneath DO VHAT YOU ARE TOLD!!! - And then have a boo at this one - same kid a couple of minutes later,as he finishes his song, Tomorrow Belongs to Me - yea, the kid is a "Hitler Youth", in the early 30s. Just as sweet as they come. Sort of like a Doberman puppy. Sort of like Harper. Who thinks the future of Canada belongs to him. And like the kid in the movie, and the German people of that time - the nazis can be stopped up to a point - but then it’s too late. Ask ol Rev Neimuller about all that ......
Missing the wave on Green coverage - now, I've mentioned before what I think of the Green Party this election, but that doesn't matter - they are fielding a full slate of candidates for people to decide if they want to vote for, and as such they should be allowed to have their say. But evidently, there is some sort of threshold that the Powers that Be decide upon somewhat arbitrarily about who will get media coverage and who will not, or how much, etc, which seems a bit wrong to me - that is to say, if we were asked, who gets to decide who is acceptable and who is not as fit to run in a Canadian election, MOST of would say "We the People decide!!!!" - but evidently, a lot of people think that We the People only get to decide among the candidates that We the Media approve of, the Great Gatekeepers - now, that ain't what they told me when I was growing up, ma. HAHAHAHAHAHAA - then again, as it turns out, there was quite a LOT they never told me when I was growing up!
- like the REAL roll of newspapers, as I talked about in the letter to the lady from the Canadian Newspaper Association a couple weeks ago - which is to SHAPE the thinking of people, rather than “reflect” it, as they like to pretend, as their “democratic” mandate - the election stuff is interesting in this respect, if you are watching from outside the box - the ideas of Layton, and his strong presence and credibility in presenting them, has the Bay St puppet masters very, very concerned, it would appear - the guns are on him bigtime already - I took apart Jose last week, for fun, but they are coming out all over the woodwork - the big guns like Simpson - Trojan Horse Jack: Beware Pinocchio bearing gifts - not surprising, from the Globe (although they actually had a couple of other good articles this week) - but it’s really quite amazing to think of - Simpson gives a little list (well - big list, actually, which is part of his complaint - “too much stuff”!!) - but basically EVERYTHING in the list is NOT some kind of “far-left whacko” stuff - it is stuff most Canadians support - but Simpson - and this is the Bay St line - is saying this is just unrealistic - we can’t afford it, etc - which is, of course, the corporate line for the last 30 years - and NOW it has become some sort of “entrenched truth” - all the stuff we have been paying taxes for - we can’t afford!!! - They NEVER go the next step, and say that, insofar as money is short, it is because we have handed a TRILLION dollars over to the banks and “investors” the last 20+ years, and continue to hand them $30-40+ Billion a year, straight off the top of that tax revenue, or that we continue to be short because Martin and others have reduced corporate tax rates to ridiculously low levels - no - we all just HAVE TO KNOW that we “cannot afford that stuff” - and therefore Layton is a crazy dreamer (and lying) to promise it. And the success of 20 years of propaganda is reflected in the number of Canadians who believe this utter horseshit.
And the fear that Canadians might be waking up a bit, might be sick of Martin and the Liberal lies, still awake enough not to turn en masse to the Harper Republicans, and ready to turn to someone like Layton, is reflected in this media blitz against him - it is very, very telling that the Editorial of the Star, three weeks and more ahead of the election, is parroting the same line - Editorial: Martin affirms Canada's values - and accusing Layton of ”...pie-in-the-sky promises...” - and supporting and promoting Martin, no questions about past broken promises or anything.
It would sure as hell be interesting to see what would happen if we had a bunch of non-rightwing-neocon-wacko-republican papers in this country, pushing for the things Canadians value rather than LOWER TAXES every day, and pushing the only national party which has NOT been involved in gutting Canadian values and trashing our country, to see what opinion polls would be showing after a few years of that.
Job growth is fine but productivity matters too - by Mathew Ingram, Bloge - (hahahahahahaha great typo - or is that dyslexia? Are they related??? HAHAHAHAHAAA) - more “entrenched wisdom” - this productivity horseshit - all “productivity” means is that you the average worker are producing more product of whatever kind for the capitalists who own your body and/or soul for the same amount of money, or less these days increasingly - which is great for them, of course - but why should YOU be running around pretending what a great thing it is?!?!?! They don’t seem to sense any limits to this, any practical end to the amount of work people can do for them - but again, we should be questioning this a lot!!! What happened to the modern world, where people are supposed to be getting MORE leisure and freedom?!?!?! NEVER talked about anymore!!! - just work work work work - and of course, the more YOU work, the more money and leisure THEY have - but that’s not the way it’s supposed to be working in a democracy controlled by We the People - is it?!?!?!?! Why don’t we have more talk about the growth in LEISURE time for people working in Canada?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - that’d be quite a reverse looking sort of graph to the “productivity” graph, for sure - down and down and down over the last 30 years (say, isn’t that odd - just coincidentally the time the corporate revolution started!!! - lots of things can be traced back there - someday!!!!)
HAHAHAHAHAAA - this is hilarious! - Brampton realtor charged over grow houses - Police allege real estate fraud scheme - there was a plot to buy two houses and turn them into marijuana grow operations....” - YOU NUTBAR CONSPIRACY THEORISTS!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA - THERE ARE NO CONSPIRACIES - DON’T YOU READ THE PAPERS????? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! ONLY IDIOTS BELIEVE IN “CONSPIRACIES” HAHAHAHAHAHA - WHAT NEXT?!?!?! ELVIS LIVES??? SPACE CREATURES AFTER YOUR WONDERFUL CSIS BODIES??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA
Ah - ya gotta love em all.
hahahahahahaha. not all that funny actually. unless you think lobotomies are hilarious. no, yours, not someone else’s.
geezus - why doesn’t some paper out there with some time and money do a little research one of these days - it would nice to have a little chart that showed the campaign promises of winning parties over the last 20 years or so (since the neocons took over everywhere) compared to what the governments did while in power - both in terms of fulfilling the promises, and also in terms of bringing in new programs or laws they never mentioned during their campaign (including raising their “benefit” packages”. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AA it’d be nice if I won the fucking lottery too HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA
Ah -Linda whom I have mentioned before doesn’t like those insurance scam people any more than I or a lot of us do - but SHE does a bit of research - The dough rolls in - ”...The profits of Canada's auto, home and commercial property insurers skyrocketed five-fold to $895 million in the first quarter, up from $176 million a year ago... That's after record profits of $2.6 billion in 2003, up 673% from 2002...” - there’s more - i.e. ”...Canada's Big Five banks, which raked in a record $3.1 billion in second-quarter profits...” - don’t get me started on the fucking banks today it’s late already.
And you know when things will get better? When you and everyone else starts electing representatives to go to your provincial and federal houses of government who represent We the People, and NOT the Bay St Boys, who include the insurance and bank people among their top leaders. Then, and not before. That means a lot of fucking growing up, by the looks of things, and a lot LESS accepting being told what to think by the mainstream media and tv, and starting to think for yourselves. And stop with that shit that you are already - if that is the case - why do things continue to get worse for me and you, and better for the Bay St Boys???? I tell you, I have NOT been voting for people who jump to the Bay St puppetmasters - so who has??????? They are NOT, as some astute observer noted about some other politicians (Thatcher and Reagan, I believe it was), electing themselves (hahahahahaa - here in Canada, anyway - I think they DO elect themselves, in that great bastion of democracy so beloved by most of our media and the Harper Republicans, and apparently increasingly so by the Martin Libs (you don’t suppose they’re turning into the Canadian Democratic Party, do you? - the argument can be made.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA)
This - As the smoke clears inspired my first butt of the day - cough cough hack hack hahahaha - fuck I hate nazis, even Big Sis nazis, doing stuff “for your own good”. right. not. Hard to believe - $5,000 for having a cigarette where the smell of smoke offends Big Sis. This is a Star editorial, evidently they approve of it - too bad they weren’t a little more concerned with democracy and stuff like that - that is to say - it would be nice if somebody even asked the question of McGuinty et al. - Why didn’t you make this law one of your campaign promises last fall, there, bud???? - not that you’d ever get an answer from these people, but it would be nice if we had a media with the guts to ask it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - it would be nice if I ever won the fucking lottery too HAHAHAHAHAAA I know I just said that a minute ago...... but heck, it WOULD be nice....
Hey!!!!! - the Globe again - they MUST have some old-timer from when the Globe was the best paper in Canada sneaking around behind the scenes there and sneaking this stuff in when the Bay St Puppets have gone off home or to the High Towers for a drink and a laugh at the Ship of Fools they are piloting - First, they came for the smokers ... - well done, phantom of the puphers hahahahahahaha. and Doug - so good that someone is speaking up for freedom and common phucking sense hahahahahahaha.
And another one the same phantom must have snuck in - O Canada, I pay my tax for thee -
- yea I gunned Heather a week or two ago for sounding like Big Sis on steroids or something, but she’s usually pretty good and maybe she was having an off day or something - trying to be sarcastic and not connecting (which could of course have been my inability to understand her refined prose or something hahahahaha) - but here she is right on the money, so unlike most of the idiots proclaiming how wonderful LOWER TAXES LOWER TAXES are - without examining WHY we pay taxes, and what those taxes provide us - they get the whole issue confused by leaving out the central ingredient, that such a significant amount of our taxes is being skimmed by crooks, and if we could get rid of those crooks, we could pay lower taxes and get more stuff!!!! REALLY!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAA - and if MOI were running the place, we could probably look to at least a few years of NO FUCKING TAXES AT ALL AND MORE STUFF!!!! - because by fuck, I would go after the guys who stole the TRILLION fucking dollars from us - and once we got THAT money - why - no taxes for a few years, in some small recompense for the years we spent in the wilderness (yea yea I know remember what happened to JFK when he tried to go after the same guys....). Or something else we could do with the money - I don’t know, there could well be other ideas out there, such as promoting REAL democracy in other places around the world (that big fascist nation to the south of us would be a start (NO I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT CUBA YOU IDIOT!)), or maybe - fuck you think of some ideas of what we could do with a Trillion Dollars HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA) - but to get back to Heather’s piece here - very well done - if I didn’t know better, I’d think she was having a beer moment or hour or whatever when she wrote it. Although the Bloge probably doesn’t hire many people who drink beer.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA (How do I know better? I don’t - fuck, maybe she does drink beer - how would I know? Nobody from the Bloge talks to me!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA - but the Globe really is starting to have a few more good articles - here’s another - Death taxes: a fine part of the Robin Hood tradition - they did, many years ago, used to be far and away the best paper in Canada, because they presented pretty honest news and good commentary from ALL sides of the opinion spectrum, but then they seemed to get taken over by the Bay St Boys for awhile - we’ll see, I guess - but still, as with all Canadian media, the debt line seems to be one they will not cross..... - you oughtta check out the latest articles on the COMER site)
Sometimes I look around and see others doing stuff that they deem important in their lives at the time, and feel a great sense of pity, of the pathos of it all, of how meaningless it all is for them, the sheeps in the field being readied for the Farmer Jones market the next day but putting such importance in getting some little thing just so - and then in a blinding flash (one of those in vino veritas moments) it comes to me that I am no different, no matter what I think with my pretentious ramblings about the state of the world - we all think the same underneath, that “I” am somehow different or special, but that means we’re all the same! - all meaningless. Maybe the philosophy of “get as much as you can and have as much fun as you can and fuck anyone who gets in your way and everyone else just for the hell of it” makes sense, in this world.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - more friends than ever!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA - ahhh, I ought to drink wine more often HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
- and I shouldn’t leave that one there - in truth, as I see it - underneath, we really ARE all very, very special, all individual souls in the universe, and it is our great tragedy that most of us do not yet understand that, and let themselves be led around like sheep by the Capitalist Farmers who cage them and steal their labour and souls - but knowing this does not change much - I do believe there will be some sort of hell for these capitalist berserkers, some universal balancing that sees them pay somehow for the huge and horrendous sins they have committed against so many - but then, I have a lot of odd thoughts.
The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well meaning but without understanding.
– Justice Louis Brandeis
I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” - Dr Seuss - man he was smart....... I gotta read some of that stuff again ..... that's almost as good a play on words as the great old line about comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable.....

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” (Upton Sinclair - great writer - reading stuff like this helps understand how the problems of today are NOT new!!! - and is a clear indication of the truth of the old saying that he who does not know history is destined to repeat it, or whatever)

Write if ya want (ya gotta take the xxx off the front - I'm trying to reduce the intake from the spam assholes (oh yes you fucking are - it is NOT amusing - get a fucking life why don't you, instead of bothering people - how fucking stupid can you be?? If you were the last fucking product on earth I wouldn't buy anything from you!! Fuck.)).
What direct action did you take today to do something to get rid of corporate
government in Canada besides deleting spam? Do you feel that it was enough, given the situation?
Will you feel content telling that to your grandchildren, should they survive,
and the country, and the planet?
