Snorkeling the Beautiful Southern Thailand Andaman Islands' Coral Reefs and Gardens

Contact Dave here if you might be interested in taking over the publishing and distribution of this book - I've always had lots of talent for creative things, but none for marketing any of it, esp with the modern 'social media' which I don't use much at all. Or if you have comments on the book - things ID-ed incorrectly, things you think should be added, if you want to explore getting some copies to sell at your travel shop or resort, or whatever.

Democracy Study Guide

Dave's most recent attempt to deconstruct the pretend democracy in Canada and suggest ways to make it more real - with links to some of Dave's other social and political writings

Greenways cover

Green Island, Dave's magnum opus, a story of a modern social democracy where We the People have finally displaced the bankers from our government, and established the first real Democracy on our planet. The old rulers are not about to sit idly by and allow the work of centuries to be undone by a band of hippies, of course, and attempt a regime change with their military arm, the US hegemon. This regime change attempt gets a bit of a shock, however. Green Island too has something a little harder under the green glove.

Serpent's Tale cover
A Serpent's Tale - Dave's parable about what we are doing to our planet - when you look into the abyss, even if you have no idea what you are doing - be careful - the abyss is looking back ...

And a book for younger readers too, Dave's an eclectic sort of person - Aquila

Cover

A compact, field-friendly guide to southern Thailand’s most inviting coral reefs and gardens of the southern Andaman Sea, from Koh Lipe to Koh Ngai, written for travelers who want to get straight to the good stuff. This short but info-full guide points you to the best snorkeling spots on each island, with more info on such things as what to watch for with tides and current, and how to make the most of short island time without wasting mornings hunting for access or swimming the wrong direction.

Inside you’ll find clear site notes and google-based maps, plus quick IDs for common reef fish and corals so you can put names to the colors you’re seeing. Guidance is practical and beach-level: where to slip in, how the bottom changes across a bay, when visibility tends to improve, and a handful of snorkeling tips that keep your day easy and fun.

Available in two traveler-friendly formats: a widely available Amazon (glue-bound) edition, and a sturdy Lulu (spiral-bound) edition that is bound for heavier use and lies flat on a boat or beach towel. If you’re buying for discovery or gifting, Amazon is the better choice; if you’re taking the book into salt and sand and touring islands for a few days, the spiral binding is the tougher companion. 7×10 in, matte cover.

Or you can wait until you get here and get a locally printed spiral-bound copy at various dive or travel shops or maybe your resort - i.e. here are a few places that have this guide at the time of the latest update of this page:

- a couple of pages from the book: one of the fish ID pages with everyone's favorite Nemo, one of the island pics showing where the reef and good snorkeling are, and one of the extra info pages, this showing the lovely beach at the Koh Ngai resort
