031011 - Question Everything!!
O Lady Truth. So few Samaritans in the world trying to save something of you, who value you just for what you are, and not what you can give them or how they can pervert you to selling more "product" of whatever kind. But there's Kaminski and me, anyway, and a bunch of others. Don't give up - hang in there, as we say where I once came from. Hang in there. The old silver steed is a bit wheezy these days, but by the fuck she's a lot more trustworthy than anyone you'll find hiding in a Benz. And don't worry about that we're sort of outnumbered - remember what Margaret Mead said about that shit. There's always more hyenas than lions, more Inquisitors than Galileos. But maybe we can change that - we can be, we should be, a noble fucking species, all of us - we just have to get rid of the scum that seems to be covering the good stuff. Let's see what we can do to further that process on this day ....
The Ontario election, the "huge" McGuinty "majority" (there really ought to be a law that words like that get defined (TRUTHFULLY!! - not yer civicsbook-barbiedoll shit!! - more soon) so people see what exactly they mean - it certainly doesn't mean what one would think... - that is to say, most people would not call 25% of the registered voters a majority (let alone a "massive" or "sweeping" one for fuck's sake!!!) - but we can do that in what we rather whimsically call "democracies" in this era - another word that really needs some looking at), the campaigns that were fought, the power of the press - one of the great current mythologies is the nonsense that the media just "reflect' the news that is happening, reporting it honestly each day (rwawkkkpuke) - but really - really??? I did a bunch on the media a couple of weeks ago with the LaPointe letter, but I think I was probably only scratching the surface of the ways in which we are controlled through the information we are given through "official" channels (like the mainstream media).
For instance, it occurs to me (ya gotta forgive me - I'm a bit slow at times!) that the great powerful Common Sense Revolution that has steamrollered Ontario for the last 8 years ran what could only be called a pathetic campaign, and also were seriously torpedoed by the media all along the line, right from the word go, basically - but of course, if nobody points these things out, why one will naturally assume that it was just the normal flow of events, with the great media doing their job of duly reporting things as they happened, rather than carefully guiding the people to a desired outcome. But how much does media coverage shape rather than reflect what happens during a campaign? For instance - the Greens got 3% of the vote, duly noted in a footnote in the coverage - but how much better might they have done if the media had of given them any fucking coverage at all during the campaign, perhaps even making an issue out of the unfairness of not letting their leader appear on the election debate or their not having millions of dollars to buy advertising with (remember, in tv culture society, out of sight = out of mind!!)?
Remember the last Ontario election in 1999? The media took apart McGuinty, while hailing Harris once again as the very saviour of Canadian politics - the complete reversal of the coverage this time, and with the duly expected results (ignoring for the time being the FPTP electoral system that enables a lot of this - hahaha - the press certainly ignored it!). And remember this time, about half way through the campaign, the fucking Fraser Institute released a report saying the Ontario budgetary situation was the shits, with a huge deficit on the horizon - the fucking Frasers!! - of whom, you will recall, a certain former Premier named Mike Harris is a member!!! - now you want to try to tell me how this was some sort of coincidence?!?!?! - and assuming we can agree there is no fucking way it was a coincidence - then what are the Neocon Frasers doing torpedoing the Neocon party of Ontario in the middle of an election campaign?? There was all kinds of shit like this throughout the campaign - NOBODY working for a major political party that actually planned on running a credible campaign to win an election would have their leader standing on a stage looking like a moron with a monopoly game card in his hand expecting to score serious positive political points, or call another major party leader a "green skinned alien kitten eater" or whatever the fuck the frase was (punpun!! - get it?!?!) - and if you look at things from that sort of outside-the-box perspective, ya just gotta wonder a lot - if, for some reason, the drive was on by whoever runs things to get the voters to put McGuinty and the Libs into government and turf the PCs, this is exactly the kind of thing that would have happened to manipulate the public perception and influence the outcome - Eves and the rest made to look bad, McGuinty et al. made to look good, the NDP marginalized as usual (aren't they cute little socialists - but we certainly can't vote for them - people expect this), and any potential applecart-upsetters like the Greens, saying things that a LOT of people want to hear, pushed as far aside as possible by giving them no coverage (and given the FPTP system, such a result can virtually be guaranteed - think about it - the NDP has been carefully kept in check over the years, and it is KNOWN that they will get somewhere around 15% +/- of the vote - and all that has to be done is to ensure the desired party - Libs or PCs - gets more of the remaining votes than their major opponent - and with the press building up one team, and doing what they can to make the other one look bad, and the simpleminded faith most people put in the media - well - as in Las Vegas, the House Edge is pretty solid. Not 100% maybe, but there ain't gonna be many surprises.)
Man, talk about paranoid fantasies eh!?!?!
A bit more on the election shit (there really is a lot in even the controlled media, if you have trained yourself (THEY sure as fuck won't!!!!) to read between the lines, and watch for little stuff - for instance, a column by a rather well known rightwing apologist called Christina Blizzard, in the Sun a day or two ago - Silver lining - Will a new bid to unite the right grow from ashes of Tory defeat? - again, as noted before, they talk and talk and talk and talk about "uniting the right", even though not much more than 10% of Canadians want that kind of shit in this country (on this very day, there are stories in the Star, the Globe, the Pispot, and the CBC, the only four Canadian mainstreams I looked at - and not a fucking WORD at all the last few weeks or months about an ongoing effort by a lot of people to "Unite the Left", as I have mentioned before - would one be justified in seeing some sort of pattern here I wonder?!?!?!?!) - but one line says a LOT about these people - while again bringing up (punpun!! - it certainly makes me wanna puke..) the idea of Mike Harris as leader of a fullbore Canadian "united right" party, she says (in regard to Mike the schoolteacher's inability to speak French) that he could get help from Tony Clement, because "Clement is quite fluent now, and, with time on his hands, could easily spend a couple of months in Quebec or France to perfect his skills..." - just read that again - the guy just lost his job, but it's no big deal - he could spend a couple of months in France studying French - I mean, that is to say, how many people do YOU know who, if they lost their job, could just sashay off to France or wherever the fuck and study a language?? - not many, I expect - I certainly don't - it's just indicative of the world these people inhabit, which is very much NOT the world that most of us inhabit - more to the point, it is NOT the world that those they profess to want to represent in government inhabit - which probably explains quite a lot, when you think about it - recall the famous words from a completely air-headed ruler a few years back - "The people are hungry?? Why - let them eat cake!!" - the neocons seem to be cut from the same out-of-touch-with-the-real-world cloth (which should not be surprising, actually - the ruling class in the 20th or 21st centuries has a pretty direct lineage to earlier times - not that you'll read about THAT in the Canadian media HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!). It speaks to the whole idea of political "representatives" though - this is not some time spent away from their real jobs for a few years, a small personal sacrifice from their real careers helping administrate the country they live in for the good of all - not at all silly boy!!!! - this is an actual "profession" (sort of like "prostitution" can be called a "profession" - except with real prostitutes you get something at least for the money you spend, most of the time anyway - actually it works - you get fucked either way - but the politicians do it in a much bigger way, taking a LOT of your money and often giving NOTHING in return - and with a prostitute it's for a few minutes - with the politicians the fucking goes on for years and years and fucking years....) - the "profession" of MP/MLA - and they have somewhat higher expectations for their own personal lifestyle than they allow for lesser people like actual citizens. Not a surprise to most of us, of course - but again, something you will NOT read much about in the mainstream media - fuck I seem to be using that phrase a lot today for some reason - must be on my mind or something hahaha. But catch the Common Sense Revolutionites who just lost their jobs in various media stories these days - all scouting around for new elections to run in, to keep their little faces in the trough. Oink oink fucking oink. Anything but a real job for these people!!!
At least it's not a lonely boat I row attributing other motives to the media besides "keeping us informed" HAHAHAHA!!!! - listen, for instance, to Michael Rivero, of What Really Happened:
Is Kobe Bryant this year's version of Gary Condit? - Remember early 2001? The US mainstream media was totally focused on Gary Condit and whether he had had anything to do with the disappearance and murder of Chandra Levy. In fact, the US Mainstream media was so focused on Gary that it managed NOT to have to report other news items which were of potentially greater importance, such as the US Government informing other nations of a plan to invade Afghanistan in October 2001.
In hindsight, it is clear to see why the US media did not want to report on the planned war. Had the American public at large been aware of an ongoing US plan to attack Afghanistan, the eyebrows raised at the official explanation for 9-11 would have raised just a bit higher, and those Americans familiar with the Project for a New American Century would have recalled their strange comments about a "new pearl harbour" accelerating their plans.
So, we didn't get those news stories about the planned war in Afghanistan. We were "Conditized". We were fed a non-story 24/7 while the US Government moved the nation towards wars of conquest. And after it was all over, Gary Condit went back to his job, with even greater name-recognition than he ever had previously enjoyed.
And here we are again today, with Kobe Bryant taking the place of Gary Condit. Arguments over whether sex was consensual or not are not national news. NBA players belong on the sports pages and the sports wrap-up. They shouldn't be used to displace the stories about events that have the potential to affect us all. With each new headline about Kobe, the first thought that runs through my head is, "what are they NOT telling us that we need to know?" (from the Oct. 10 WRH update)
When you look at things from this sort of outside-the-box perspective (I plead guilty to have been doing it for years), many, many questions start to arise (not the least of which is why the fuck do the major media never seem to ask them!!! - but of course, the answer is within the very question in this case - they're not asking them because if they wanted you thinking about this shit they WOULD ask them - so obviously they DON'T want you thinking such things) - anyway - just a couple of quick for instances from things happening these days -
- the whole "Radwanski affair" is starting to really smell bad - not for the reasons the media is giving, but because the media is doing what it is doing - fuck, political appointees spending a few hundred thou as they go about their jobs is about as unusual as a politician lying about something to make him/herself look good or to try to make you vote for them or, to quote an oldie but goldie, bears shitting in the woods - there have been many, many, many reports about overspending or big hotel and lunch bills or junkets with staff around the world the last year - the last decade - fuck as long as I've been reading papers this shit comes up regularly - but for the last little while, under Big Jean, it's been farts in the wind as he sloughs it all off and the media run with it about as much as they ran with the Green party not getting a seat at the Ontario election "debate" - a big outraged accusation by some non-Lib politicians looking for a headline, a one-story wonder in the papers in which the accused person huffs and puffs about how they did nothing wrong, and the government saying they'll surely have a look into it, and then bye bye love - maybe, if there was something that looked a bit serious or for some reason got stories on TWO days!!, the PM would have his personal ethics counsellor HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA have a look into it, and a few weeks later this amazing person will pompously tell everyone that he has had a thorough check of everything, and there are no problems with anything that HE can see, by golly, not in this squeaky clean government!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA - and end of story (check out this weekend's flash in the pan about Alan Rock spending a weekend with his family at some Irving retreat - the "ethics counsellor" sees no problem - I do - when there is a cabinet meeting in the future wherein the Irvings are making yet a-fucking-nother case for tax breaks or other preferential treatment, and the Canadian Anti-Poverty Association have written a letter pleading for a few pennies to alleviate poverty - which one do you think will have Uncle Alan's attention? Don't lie now - I'm looking into that truth serum I told you about a couple of times ago....).
Anyway, this type of scenario has happened dozens of times the last few years, and several this year alone - and until now there's been nothing more than the usual huffy-puffy. Why the big fucking witch hunt for Radwanski, even hounding the man out of his job, a MOST unusual occurrence for nothing more than some high but hardly abnormal expense accounts (check Flying high on taxpayers' dime - Governor-General's aide jets in for one hour from today's Pispot for another one-day story (I predict!!)?? But all the media are on Radwanski like leeches, day after day - why??? I don't know - but I do know that Radwanski, before the witch hunt, was doing his job pretty good, which was looking out for the privacy rights of average Canadians, and making some pretty serious noises about the dangers to us all of such things as the National ID card that the government seems determined to implement in the face of little support from most Canadians and quite a bit of opposition, and how the so-called "anti-terrorism" legislation was REALLY pretty oppressive stuff that went WAY fucking overboard in Canada. And nobody else that I know of, with his stature at any rate, is opposing these things with the same persistence as he was. Say - when was the last time you read something about what a bad and unnecessary idea this National ID Card would be, or whether or not the "anti-terrorism" legislation goes too far........??? Fuck I seem to have lost the story, you could find it if you wanted to badly enough - but a day or two ago there was some meeting about this ID card stuff (for which they flew in some big shot US speaker from Harvard who was recently found to have plagiarised something to show his ethics overall to speak in favor of this ID card for a fee of $36,000 + expenses (funny there doesn't seem to be any outrage about that - I certainly am!!!! - one fucking day this guy comes!!! - and gets about as much money as the average Canadian fucking FAMILY makes in most of a fucking year!!!! - peanuts to pols though - what I said before about these people not inhabiting the same planet) - and at the end of the day, although there were one or two MPs making some mewly little noises of polite protest, the Minister of the Canadian government (Coderre I think it is) cleared things up for everyone - "The meeting isn't about "if" at all," he said, about the ID card - "but only about WHEN!" (paraphrasing, yea, but accurate content) - so there y'all go. Get ready to be fingerprinted. And your kids. Ain't freedom and democracy fucking wonderful???? Remember all them stories we used to read about how foreign totalitarian governments were always stopping innocent people and demanding their Identity Cards, in contrast to we wonderful free people in our wonderful democracies? Wonder why that sort of story hasn't been in the news much lately....???
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................
Or how about this one - Federal government may toughen marijuana bill to appease critics - RM archive copy the gov naturally says they are responding to a few concerns from the opposition and certainly all the screaming from Washington about this proposed law has NOTHING to do with the proposed changes!!! - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA - that is to say, when was the last time the government gave a sweet fuck about opposition complaints HAHAHAHAH!!!! - but nonetheless, the press reports this kind of crap with a straight face, while somehow not finding space for more stories like this one - High anxieties - What the WHO doesn't want you to know about cannabis RM archive copy - yes, yes, if you checked it out you will see the story (about how pot is much safer, less addictive, etc, than either cigarettes or booze (fuck is that a message to me?!?!?!) is 4 years old - but that is exactly the point - even though this kind of thing has been known for years and years, there is next to no coverage in the "great free Canadian media" about it (as with most stories they don't want you thinking much about, like poverty in Canada or something, it gets covered about once a year - the old "plausible deniability" trick, so they can haul them out if you accuse them of not covering them) - lots of coverage of the great new pot law that is still going to send people to jail for years for daring to grow or sell a bit of pot, and the American fascists screaming about how fucking horrible the very THOUGHT of such a "reduced penalty" law (one feels like laughing here, but throwing people in jail for lengthy periods of time is never funny, especially when they are innocent of any actual crime (??? I cannot call something a crime because the government which I never voted for says it is - there are times we must act as our conscious dictates, and this kind of thing is one of them - and if that scares the fuck out of you as being "anarchistic" or something, check out anarchy a bit more - although the government wants you to believe that anarchy is something really bad, akin to lawlessness and chaos, that is sort of like saying people who smoke pot are heinous criminals - it just ain't so - more on anarchy one of these days, I guess, but it is a step or three above and beyond this transient state called democracy, where people are intelligent and responsible, and there are fewer if any laws because such citizens do not require them - any more than you require your mother standing over you making you shit in the toilet instead of your drawers - as we grow out of that need, so too we must grow out of the need to have the big strong policeman telling us not to run stop signs because it's dangerous, or stuff like that) - anyway - these fucking Americans under Bush are right out of control - this latest again today verily as I fucking write (it just never fucking stops, as I may have noted before!) - U.S. drug czar says Canadians ashamed of PM RM archive copy - as Canada dares to try to make tiny, tiny steps towards rationality, that great fascist monster to the south roars its disapproval - and you can bet the Canadian government will be listening, little words of protest notwithstanding. The prison building industry is a powerful lobby in the US, not to mention the government sponsored illegal drug industry. Fuck this is such a perverse place.
fuck where was I that time? - press - pot - fuck maybe if I did smoke some weed I could be better organised - let's see - just imagine if the "free" press was featuring stories about the harmlessness of pot with the same frequency they carried stories from the Frasers et al. about how BAAADDDD government is, and how LOWER TAXES LOWER TAXES would be just fucking great for everyone, etc - do you suppose the people would be hassling the politicians a bit more about it? I do, anyway - but it's part of the Free Press Scam - the Democracy House Edge that makes you believe you are free when you're actually about as free as the little dog clawing my leg letting me know he wants some food right now - in Vegas they show you the picture of the one sweet little old lady who just won a few thou in the slot machine, big smile and what not - they show neither the thousands of others who spend thousands and get nothing back for each winner and are forced to spend the next winters of their lives on the street because they mortgaged the house to get a small stake, nor do they show the aftermath of the lady who supposedly 'won" - that money will NOT buy that lady happiness - they sell the dream, and people are sick of the drudgery of capitalist democratic society so WANT to believe in the dream, and thus head off for the hopelessness called Vegas. Likewise with "Democracy" - people are trained to believe it, and want to believe it (who wants to run around saying "I have no freedom and am a trained, rather stupid capitalist robot-worker-consumer and HATE this fucking life and yearn so bad I could fucking die for a decent life and to be given some education to help me grow rather than strap me into this tiny box they call a "modernlife", that I just KNOW somewhere in my real soul is possible and I SHOULD have it" or something true like that?) - so when the press reinforces this belief with stories like "McGuinty's great majority - the people have spoken!!!!" - and never carry stories about how the Greens were not invited to the election, or how McGuinty's "great majority" actually involved about 25% of the voters, those who voted that day, which might just occasionally give rise to less democratic (but much more truthful and realistic) thoughts.
Even the Star, unfortunately, even with its several good columnists, is part of the act as often as not (and going downhill, it seems) - check this, for instance - Editorial: NDP's late fight for party status - in which they tell the NDP to quit whining and get over it (paraphrasing - but that is the message - sound familiar?!?!) - this from the rag that is supposedly the voice of "the Left" in Canada - and ignoring the fact that the NDP actually got a higher percentage of the vote this time (about 2% higher) - and then got 2 less seats!!! - ain't FPTP wonderful!! - instead of some strong words at this opportune time about PR, they tell the NDP to be quiet and quit complaining. Interesting. Draw your own conclusions - but we might also note that even the Star was, editorially speaking, supporting McGuinty this time, and except for the one column I noted the last time, made no protest at all about the Greens being denied a seat at the election debate. There is a sweep of some sort going on around here, but I think it goes a bit deeper than the Libs.
- power of the press - look at Arnold in California - -3-4 weeks ago, not a word - but almost overnight he is running and soon leading in the race for gov of California and then elected - just imagine if you or I wanted to be even a lowly MP in Canada, provincial or federally - with no background in politics to speak of, no fame and fortune, and no big money - HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA - not a fucking chance, sweetheart, not a fucking chance - look at the Greens at the recently completed election in Ontario, frozen out even though they were widely known and running candidates in almost every riding. But when the media wants something (the people behind them, that is) - they get it, pretty much without fail. And that may be a lot of stuff - but I got trouble calling it "democracy".
No, you cannot come to any other conclusion - the examples above are just a tiny sampling, you could fill books with it all - the press is MAKING the news, not merely reporting it - oh, they do that too, of course, there are lots of factual "newsy" things happening they can "report" - but as far as the big stuff goes, and "interpreting" what is happening around us, or "helping" the people react in a certain way to what news they choose to cover - they - or, let us be honest here, since that is the fucking mandate, it is the people who OWN the media who call the shots, and hire editors and "journalists" who will be happy following those orders - lead rather than follow, they tell us what they want us to think in any given situation, who they want us to support in any given election, what policies they want us to sign off on - anything important, we are TOLD what THEY want us to think, rather than reporting what we actually think. Polls??? Well - the polls indicate how well the media are doing their job, and if they need to concentrate more on any particular areas to get enough people onside before an election or whatever.
You really, really, really have to question EVERYTHING you read or hear. Everything. (yes of fucking course that means this!!! - read this, read somebody who says the media is just a fine wonderful bunch of upstanding people doing a fucking wonderful job and telling you nothing but the god's honest truth, read it all - and then think about it and make your OWN fucking mind up about what is happening here!)
Another NEW John Kaminski! - American Satyricon - A people gone bad cheer an emperor gone mad - "... the men who do the lying continue to victimize the folks who do the dying .... "
And another one!! - John's spending a lot of time at the ol keyboard these days, for which we all ought to be thankful - American Satyricon — part 2 - You can run, but you can't hide — what will you do?
And something on education - How Public Education Cripples Our Kids, And Why By John Taylor Gatto - I've been saying this for many many years, as a whole lot of my first acts of social rebellion (man we are SOOOO FUCKING CONDITIONED!!!! - as I said at the first QUESTION EVERYTHING!!! - "social rebellion" from THEIR perspective, of course!! - FUCKING FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM!!! from mine!!!!!) revolved around the school - even as a teenager who wanted to think for himself, I could see that what they were trying to do was not helping me grow, was trying to make me into a servant for someone much higher than me, some cog in some stupid machine - didn't know much else, but knew they were up to no good, and told em all to FUCK OFF!!!!! - and thus began the long and lonely road of the Rude Macedon! - more later, sometime.....
I'll just put in here, because it really is worth it, a quote from the Gatto piece, of what he says the education system is actually designed to do (I fully concur) - Gatto has done a lot of writing on this, and is worth checking out:
".... (Alexander) Inglis breaks down the purpose - the actual purpose - of modern schooling into six basic functions, any one of which is enough to curl the hair of those innocent enough to believe the three traditional goals listed earlier:
1) The adjustive or adaptive function. Schools are to establish fixed habits of reaction to authority. This, of course, precludes critical judgment completely. It also pretty much destroys the idea that useful or interesting material should be taught, because you can't test for reflexive obedience until you know whether you can make kids learn, and do, foolish and boring things. 2) The integrating function. This might well be called "the conformity function," because its intention is to make children as alike as possible. People who conform are predictable, and this is of great use to those who wish to harness and manipulate a large labour force. 3) The diagnostic and directive function. School is meant to determine each student's proper social role. This is done by logging evidence mathematically and anecdotally on cumulative records. As in "your permanent record." Yes, you do have one.
4) The differentiating function. Once their social role has been "diagnosed," children are to be sorted by role and trained only so far as their destination in the social machine merits - and not one step further. So much for making kids their personal best.
5) The selective function. This refers not to human choice at all but to Darwin's theory of natural selection as applied to what he called "the favored races." In short, the idea is to help things along by consciously attempting to improve the breeding stock. Schools are meant to tag the unfit - with poor grades, remedial placement, and other punishments - clearly enough that their peers will accept them as inferior and effectively bar them from the reproductive sweepstakes. That's what all those little humiliations from first grade onward were intended to do: wash the dirt down the drain.
6) The propaedeutic function. The societal system implied by these rules will require an elite group of caretakers. To that end, a small fraction of the kids will quietly be taught how to manage this continuing project, how to watch over and control a population deliberately dumbed down and declawed in order that government might proceed unchallenged and corporations might never want for obedient labour.... "
HAHAHAHA - this is beautiful!! Probably the most maligned country in the world by the US (I know there's a fight for that honour) - and it is the first country in the world to TELL THE TRUTH OUT LOUD about someone in the US government!! Ya just gotta love it! - North Korea has launched a scathing attack on US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, calling him a "dictatorial psychopath" - they carry on a bit with other stuff like "The official KCNA news agency commentary went on to call him a "politically illiterate old man" who was "cursed and hated worldwide" because of his belief that only the US can dispense international justice." - some kudos to the BBC also for carrying the story - it certainly didn't appear anywhere in the Canadian or American "media" that I saw - here we prefer the barbiedoll story that our "leaders" are "honourable" people - regardless of how idiotic everyone understands that idea to be these days especially - I suppose whatever passed for the Roman press had only nice things to say about Nero and Caligula at the time.
Another example - George Bush's recent attacks against Cuba (here at the Star for instance), apparently setting them up for "regime change" (any bets on some super secret Marvel Comic Book CIA reports in the near future that - golly gee whiz!! - it appears them darned Cubans are developing (gasp gasp!!) Weapons of Mass Destruction!!! (YELLOW ALERT ORANGE ALERT RED ALERT HOLY FUCK BATMAN BOMB SOMEBODY!!!!!!!! PANICPANICPANIC) - and for our own protection etcetc HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!) - as with so much that is going on in the modern capitalist world, perversity rules!! - obviously it is the US government which is illegitimate and needs regime change! - but the lies about Cuba are another sign of the psychosis of these people - such a tiny little country, that they hate so much! - actually, it's not that hard to figure, on a couple of levels - first, the US is THE bully of the world, and has been for decades - and about the most offensive thing of all to any bully is someone thumbing their nose at them, to put it politely - or, in more actual terms, telling them to go fuck themselves - nothing gets a bully more upset, and Cuba has been telling American to go fuck itself for quite some time - and to small brained- high testosteroned cowards (check out their service records) like most of the people running the US, it's pretty hard to accept. But secondly, of course, to those who actually think a bit (there are a few, and it would be folly not to understand that - underestimating the enemy is what Sun Tzu tells you to let the OTHER guys do....), and are concerned about things in a wider sense, Cuba is a living, breathing example that other systems besides corporate globalisation are not only viable, but can actually do a much better job, if properly run, than capitalism, in providing for the needs of ALL of the people, not just the dominant few - the Cuban people have universal free health care (and good quality - check out the stats, in almost all categories relating to overall health they lead the great US - and you for sure will not read that in the mainstream media!!), universal free education (again good quality), a very democratic government (yes, Castro is the "supreme leader" and does have "supreme power" - but if you read a bit about Cuba, you will realise that he is a fuck of a lot more benevolent with that power than, for instance, one George Bush - who, if I am not mistaken, is also "Supreme Commander" of a certain army, and look how he's using that power?!?!? (again, a comparison you are HIGHLY unlikely to see in the mainstream media!!! - now why would that be, I wonder, he pondered, pulling at his whiskers puzzledly?? - it is of interest that Cuba also has a significant overseas program - but they send doctors all around the world to developing countries, not soldiers - ain't that fucking interesting?!?!?! - why don't we read any of that in the mainstream media - you don't suppose they're trying to encourage you to NOT like Cuba or Castro, do you???HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA) - anyway, not only has Cuba accomplished all of these things - but she has done so with the direct and considerable opposition of the US - the greatest power the world has ever known! - and in the face of considerable sanctions the last few years especially, since the fall of the USSR - no wonder there's such a news blackout about this stuff - and the US is so desperate to get rid of Castro and bring in another puppet government like the Batista regime that preceded him, so they can get the country under the thumb of the IMF (it's about the only developing country in the world which isn't right now!!! - put that in your pipe and smoke it, as the old dad used to say sometimes!), and bring the great joys of Capitalism and Privatisation to the country, and put the fucking peasants back in the waterless slums of poverty where they fucking belong, in the Capitalist world - which they have left far behind under Castro, and which irks the US to no fucking end - a very, very, very bad example to be running around loose in the world.
And for some reason, you aren't go to see any of that in the mainstream media. But it is fucking true.
Something else everyone who has not yet read ought to - a recent newsletter from a guy called Dave McGowan and his Center for an Informed America - basically exposing a bunch of the lies of the American governments the last lot of years, from a very good writer - his latest newsletter, #43 is a look at the 911 story - kind of a late anniversary issue (I know the feeling) - but evidence keeps accumulating about how the American government story about what happened that terrible day is worthy perhaps of a comic book for a pre-teen audience, but not much more - it is another very, very clear example, really, of how much the media is involved in the shaping of the news, and much more deeply, in the shaping of how people view everything about their society and government and world.
Is that enough Ma??? Can I go to the beach now? Whatever the fuck I did I'm really really really REALLYYYYYYY sorry - I won't do it again...... please let me come back home........
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA
